    Coolant flow when heating on; none when heat off

    I'm seeing coolant circulating - a strong flow into overflow bottle - when the heating is on high in the car.

    When I turn off the heat I'm seeing no coolant circulating at all.

    What are the typical causes of this?

    valve stuck or blockage, is the coolant clean?
