Need Help - Throttle Actuator for e93 M3

    Guys need some help.

My friend had a limp mode today and took it to Murphy and Gun. They diagnosed one of the throttle actuators is gone. This seems to be a common fault with them (happened me in my e60 m5 too).

He is out of warranty. M&G want €1500 for the job and €3000 to do the two.

Anyone reccomend an Indy to do this job, needs to be done right he is fussy. Car needs service and spark plugs also. Any reccomendations or garage owners on here that have done this before.

    Thanks

    Got both mine done here:
    http://www.rebuild.org.uk/

    Fitted by Valdas.

No point spending 3k when they'll probably go again! Got it all done for under 1k

www.ECUtesting.com are also fantastic at actuator rebuilds, contact directly from the engineer working on your unit - great communication and I know they did a lifetime warranty on my abs unit cant remember if the same for the throttle actuators on my M5, and around £200 plus postage if I remember correctly so Im sure they might be worth checking for the M3 also

    Hi Moe,

Fahys in Galway did mine, 2 on the M5 and 2 on the M3 i have now... From memory about 800 each plus fitting. From seeing the part out I don't think its a major job. Its worth cleaning the throttle bodies while they are at it.
