    E61 idrive mask screen replace

    So my screen is gone funny... It's just Lines, shapes, different colours, no words or anything, when I use the knob to go into a menu ie ' entertainment ' the lines and shapes change so you know you have gone into a sub menu, radio works and knob works....
    No sat nav (just obc option) no climate control and no bt... it's a 6.5 screen so I assume it's the bog standard m-ask version.
    I took out the screen to get the part number...
    65826962424
    65826971414... Seems there are two numbers but they don't match anything on realoem.
    Wondering can I just stick any 6.5 screen in cos there is a few different part numbers. Do I have to code it to my existing unit or should I just bite the bullet and update to a ccc unit

    It's a 06' reg 523I E61... but it's a 05' production date.
    The realoem screenshot I put up is the only 6.5 screen listed for my chassis... There is a long list for 8.8 screens underneath that (out of shot) however, when I click on the 6.5 part number it gives me a hole lot of other part numbers that ' supersedes ' and ' superseds ', Al of which is not the number I pulled out of my car (second alpine screen shot) tks for your time...

    Hi, 8.5 are for ccc mate.
    If you're Dublin based, I've got a spare 6.5 screen so we can try to ensure that isn't a cable. I'm based in D7 and I'm pretty free evening from 7
