was looking at the damage since the parts were stolen from the e46 and roof needs respray and bot lid and lip spoiler, my bumper also needs touching up.
what do you think would be an approx price for this?
was thinking of going through insurance buy my excess is 300 , so if it was big enough money maybe it might be worth it

I would expect to pay 300 for the roof, 200 for bumper and 200 for lid. Unless your NCB is protected, I'd be bypassing the insurance company and paying cash.

Very hard for anyone to give an accurate quote without seeing the damage, like asking a mechanic how much to fix the car before he knows what's wrong with it
Ordinarily I agree above 300 + 200 +200. Bear in mind silver is one of the hardest colors to match. Cheap job will be edge to edge and if cheap paint is used you are very likely to see the color difference discuss in detail with painter on what he will do to blend and that you are concerned about the match. If he's good he won't be worried by your questions
Which are the easy colours to match? I have heard that about every colour!

Black is generally very forgiving when it comes to paint
