e63 M6 - Black grilles or not?

Nice to see the old e60 looking so well kept. I tried a pair of back spurious grills the fit was weird in the end I opted for the bmw performance grills much better fitment.

Believe me, if there was an OEM option for black I would have jumped at it. If these ones look in any way out of place they are gone.

I did black grilles on my black Mini a few weeks ago and I’m delighted with them, they are OEM.

Funnily enough the 630i is also getting new grilles too the week after next. Wife tipped the back of a Yaris, a bit of paint scraped and grilles scraped, fairly minor.

In all fairness I fitted Chinese black grills to the 640 with fair results and the 335 with great results. I think it depends on the batch.

It's a no from me too but I have a suggestion.

How about getting an original chrome set and paint the outer edge in body colour black but leave the fins chrome.

A while back this was popular on e46 m3s

I agree looks lost but satin finish could be your man.
If you have no mass in the gloss grills how about a sheet of sand paper, can of primer and a can of black satin finish and some patience🙏🏻
