Its a smashing car Maurice and so much fun to drive. They tended to get a bad name as people didn't really understand them and the "do's & don'ts" that go with ownership. These are very much a "car persons" car and most that bought them treated them as a regular car in relation to maintenance and simple starting and stopping procedures. For example this car was owned by a Doctor who only used it for local commuting around Wicklow and I would have seen this car many times being just tootled along, barely warmed up and then turned straight off. These are not things to do with a 13B engine. They need to be driven and driven spiritedly in order to keep the engines healthy along with mineral oil changes etc. Mazda were partly to blame in this as they sold it as a 4 door sport tourer just like any normal engined sport tourer.Originally Posted by Mmolloy01
