I reckon it's more so down to me being 25 than the car being 15 years old . . .

Age of course will always be an issue - do you have another daily in your own name with a full NCB ?
    Current Daily: 2008 Lexus GS300 Sport F/L
    Current: E39 525i M Sport (Titan Silver)
Previous: E34 520i SE (Orient Blue)

I have an e class as a daily in my own name with 4 years ncb.

The m3 would literally only be for occasional summer use and dry stored all year round.

    Frustrating really!

If it’s your first classic normally that has to be 20 years old. The second and subsequent ones can be fifteen +

I've only got the one car on a classic policy and it's 16 years old. They're always changing the rules though.

just off the phone with autoline, I have a classic with them already and the quote on a e46 m3, no problem with quoting classic at 15 years, very low price too.

Just want to double check with whoever has m3s insured
So called autoline yesterday to quote the E36 which they quoted a nice price for a classic policy but said the 04m3 cannot be insured
I thought most people here have gotten theirs insured as a second classic or whatever way they have done it

I have my 2002 m3 insured with Autoline as a classic since Jan 2018.

I thought it had to be 15 years old so a 2004 would be ok. Unless it's from the date of manufacture or registration or something. Mine was 15.5 years old when I insured it.
