Do you mind me asking age as they told me for these sort of cars I need to be over 30 and by the time I'm 30 they will be older than 15 so I can't win.

I'm 31, 11 years NCB (so really 5), I was 29 when I first insured the car.

Have you contacted autoline? They'll insure a classic from 15 years if memory serves.

Are you insuring as main car? Classic policies are good value on them now, if u have another private car for everyday use
