I had one on my e92 and found it great. I wouldn't own a new model bmw with either AUC cover or the bmw warranty

Same here, just be sure you know what level of cover you have, excess, etc.

It definitely takes the pain/worry out of ownership.

Thanks lads. I have an N52 E90 which has been super reliable but I’m a little wary of the newer turbo petrol or diesel engines.

I'd 100% recommend it if you aren't able to DIY, have an M car or complex engine. If I'd taken one out on my 335i when I had it, it would have paid for itself a few times over.

I have it on my X5.

First claim was for a faulty adaptive xenon headlight. Part was 1450+vat and 5 hours fitting. Paid 335 euro as that was my excess.

I'm in my 3rd claim in about 6 months - broken spring this time.. I pay the same every time....

Worth the 155 euro a month purely as the cost of repairs will bankrupt you on a modern one...

Oh and it covers wear and year up to 100k miles too (hence the broken spring being covered)

And if you needed further justification -

Broken spring has now turned in to broken spring , front control arms, bushings and thermostat...

Don't even want to think what that would cost if I was paying full whack..

Hi guys, can someone give a breakdown on what's involved with this warranty. My warranty on an F10 runs out in may. I would like to think that I'm able to cover any future problems at a reasonable outlay. Thanks. ( 2012 F10 with 60000 miles)

The AUC warranty ran out on our 1 series last year, so I took out an extended warranty. I went for zero excess fully comp at €79 a month.

I just went on bmw warranty Ireland website and gave them a call. Mondial arrange the extended warranty. Make sure you call then before your AUC warranty expires though.

I've had to use the AUC warranty on the 520d and I'd shudder to think of what I'd have to have shelled out if it didn't have the warranty (timing chain, turbo, etc)

Don't think I'd own another BMW without a BMW warranty.
