    Buying an e90

    Hi Guys
I'm thinking of buying a e90 between 2009 and 2012 in petrol but there's not many around there nearly all diesel. The car will just be used as a run around bringing the kids to school and around the town doing
very small mileage. Would it a good idea to buy a diesel I'm not up to speed on modern diesel engines but I didn't think it would good for the engine any advice is much appreciated

No point in a diesel for low mileage use around town. There’s probably better value in a petrol. If you get a 2008+ 3 Litre 325i, it’s only 570 Euro Tax too

What's the story with dpf removal is it a good idea or not also I was told that if I bring the car for a good long drive once a week it should be enough for the dpf regeneration to work and I shouldn't have any problems down the line

I’ve no real experience with diesel BMWs to be honest, but a trusted mechanic did mention taking diesels out for a long drive once a week for dpf regeneration alright. I’ll let a more knowledgeable diesel BMW owner chime in with more info

Just got it home this morning. It's still filthy from the salt strewn British motorways but I'll get that sorted tomorrow!

    It's manual, which I wasn't specifically looking for . But it's a great package.
