there are 2 types. But he would need to get them online. Most likely from US. I know sometimes you see them for sale on ebay from UK.

    Cheapest place is eBay.
103 sterling delivered to parcel motel.
Anywhere else is 130 plus. This is for the M10

M11 are more expensive I think

Yes post 01 and pre 03.

To be honest the stock s54 bolts in both forms are perfectly adequate and not inferior to ARP and ARP are not superior.

The stock M11 bolts are supposed to be reused and are not available to buy from BMW because they are " mated " to the con rod. The ARP M10 bolts need to be used carefully and installer must be aware that the ARP M10 bolts are infact actually designed for the s50 and not s54 . So do not adhere to the torque instructions as per ARP M10 . The only way to accurately install ARP M10 rods bolts to the s54 is by using a stretch gauge.

I personally wouldn't bother unless the car was destined to put out mega power. Stock M10 bolts have never failed and stick M11 are designed to be reused.

Thats excellent info! If I knew that before hand I probably would have reused mine as ARP ones were a bish to source. I should stop reading m3cutters...
