    BST fault reset

    2008 E61 LCI
After a recent tip the BST cable on the battery had to be replaced. Restaint System Fault on iDrive. Went to reset the fault with INPA; fault on SIM/SGM 93B2. Still wont reset, checked the resistance on the new BST connector on the cable, 2 ohms. Stumped.
    Any ideas guys?

I’m nearly sure you need to replace the ACSM (airbag) module after it deploys an airbag. Or the other option is you send it away to get the crash data erased from the module.

The idea behind that is that a unit that has come from a crashed car shouldn’t be re-used in case it got damaged in the crash. You might find the answer with a bit of googling, wiping it might be possible.

Exactly what Rebel said, replace or repair the air bag control unit.

So, I got the reset airbag module back today and fitted it, still getting 93B2 error on SIM/SGM when I read with INPA. No other errors present and the Restraints systems/ airbag lights still on the idrive/dash..
    Any thoughts?

Didn’t, no. Am I too late for that though? If not, any step-by-step how-to guide available?
