Best driving roads in or around Co. Dublin

From Midlands but have a friend in Douglas Cork so am down from time to time. Back in the day did a car run with some local lads between Kinsale n Clonakilty via coast road. Great blast.

Ha! Brought a few members for a run down that road a few years ago when I lived in Cork, great road. Ended up looping back and finishing at the Ramen at Dennehy’s cross for noodles and an ice cream good times!

When u get the weather there is no where better. We stopped off at Pink Elephant near Timoleague for a few scoops. Fantastic day as weather was great.

For sure, it’s a short ferry ride over. Another member and I are going for a UK forum run in Wales with 33 other cars in a couple of weeks. Can’t wait!

Those roads are some craic. West coast of Scotland is great too.

I'd be up for a few spins in the Cork and South too. Dawn raids from years back were great fun

Was thinking myself in the summer, a run once a month or so and then finish up at the cars and coffee meets would be cool.


Went to the Nurburgring with mine last year. Hopefully going again this July or August.

Julianstown to Lismullen is a nice drive, about 25km of fast sweepers with excellent sightlines and a lovely surface.

It's the best driving road I've found in the North Dublin(ish) area in the years I've been spending around Balbriggan.

It never seems to get much love, but I'm a big fan of the R116 starting at Taylor's lane and ending at Glencullen, before taking the Ballyedmonduff Road to Step village.
