E36 hardtop info

has anyone ever removed the rear screen from the hardtop, mine is currently getting resprayed and he suggested i get the screen removed and refitted but im not sure about what seals and gaskets are needed etc plus will have to call out a fitter to remove and refit, he did say say he could neatly mask it an spray it, but i dont like cutting corners after all the work on the car

I think so, the bodyshop just looked after it all

I had my rear window removed when I got the Hardtop resprayed. It’s much better than masking it up. John has the right part number there. Wish I didn’t sell the HT all those years ago.
