    e46 M3 driver's side headlight

    Hey lads

I'm looking for a driver's side headlight for my 2002 e46 M3 Coupe. The tab that the indicator slots into is broken on mine.
Headlight needs to be bi-xenon and unmodified.

    Thanks
    Eoin

I am not sure bout xenon, but headlights outta 3 series coupe are identical. I picked up a set on ebay for peanuts.

Thanks! Just checked on the parts website and they do appear to have the same part number for the right hand side alright (63 12 7 165 822). The left hand side is different, probably to do with the ballast not being on the headlight in the M3. I'll have a look on ebay later.

You can gut the carcass of a standard halogen headlamp and swap over your xenon parts

I should have a good one (halogen) if your interested btw

Hmm.. didn't think you could do that. Sounds like a lot of work but could work out a lot cheaper. The cheapest xenon headlight I can see on ebay is €282. Would the halogen headlight housing have the connections to hold the HID ballast?

Get the mouldable plastic putty and shape it. When it sets you can drill the hold the the indicator

The indicator is already held in as someone had screwed an aluminium bracket into the side of the headlight. I wanted it to be right so needed to replace it. Found one on M3Cutters for £100 in the end so not too bad. They seem to be hard enough to come across.
