Extremely good condition s54 water pump

    75k miles.

Very very good. Zero bearing play and good for another 40k at the least. These pumps are the best out there. I changed mine far to premature.

    120 euro

350 from any dealer in Ireland.
280 sterling is the best I have seen .

Spurious pumps are not worth the risk when the OEM pump is so well tested.

I'll throw on a free starter motor that needs a rebuild

They are worth more than you think, as you probably don't know, you cannot buy the original s54 pump spuriously as the manufacturer of the pump is first of all unknown and second of all not available outside of BMW.

By all means you can source a TRW, VALEO, INA, GATES, MARELI, SKF but I don't think any of them have the same sort of reliability as the original s54 pump. It's a Motorsport pump in fairness.

It's a rare occurrence when an s54 water pump fails and usually 130k miles or more. Can't say that for alot of the other models.

S50 pumps are about 400 euro from main dealer. I wouldn't buy a spurious pump for that engine either.

Must actually check and see if this pump would fit my s50!.

they fail from as low as your car has the mileage . would never fit second hand pump myself .
    U say , U wouldn't buy spurious , but most people wouldn't buy second hand one .

    You got me curious Valdas.

Here is a 4 day old poll I created on s54 water pumps . Seems to be about 8% (above 100k miles) and 6.76% (below 100k miles) failure rate of s54 water pumps out of 74 s54 owners. Totalling an average of 14.8% failure rate in that population of owners
