    Leather repairs

Has anyone used the likes of Trimtech to fix leather scuffing/scratches with decent results?
Specifically red leather but just wondering if they do good work, in case it needs to be sprayed to match properly.

    RE: Leather repairs

If your worried about colour matching this would be me thoughts,

Dying will always look different. It will be shiny and fresher looking the other parts of the seat if your only getting a bolster done. If it a full seat that is been done you will only notice it is a lot cleaner looking then the whole interior.

I would cut a piece of leather from a part of the seat not seen and send it off for colour matching.

    Or

Go to Nolan on the Nass Road and get the leather replaced for €150. You could have it dyed and not be happy and still have to replace the leather.

There are Scuff kit and Dynamex out there but if what your asking for they will not give you and that piece of mind that it is the same colour.

Yeah that's thing, went to Nolan and he said he wouldn't have the leather to match it.
I wonder, maybe spraying both seats fully will do the trick, only thing left after, in red, are the door panels.
Why are there no places in Ireland that can do nice jobs of it like in the Uk, quite annoying.

You could buy the leather in bmw and have Nolan fit it. There are places here but there is a different feel off the leather when it is sprayed.

Yeah because no one in here can spray it properly.
Leather from BMW is pretty much out of the question at 700 + vat for the back rest.
They used to do it by the meter but of course that has been discontinued

Buy a passenger seat from a breaker The pads are interchangeable. No need for colour matching.

There are people here that dye properly but the leather had to be colour match from the manufacturers. It not like body paint codes

Yeah tried looking for bits from breakers, but the Z sports seats are rarer than platinum, red even more so.
And have tried sourcing original leather through Nolan but they can only get the full hide which is again crazy money.
    Will try bespoke tomorrow.
