Did you do the levelling sensor as well / blanked the headlight level switch in the dash? Any links to the ones you've used if you remember?

Presume you had no issues with NCT?
Ah, it’s not a fancy solution. It just replaced the headlight bulbs but the standard ones needed to go in for the NCT.

I didn’t do the levelling sensor but as the e39 bulb is inside the inner lens there were no issues with blinding oncoming traffic (and that’s even as a driver of an oncoming car)

I’ll dig out the link to the ones I bought

Definitely. I looked into the cost of retrofitting original xenons and shook at the cost!

Just to back up everyone here, your best bet is to buy a HID kit if your original lamps are in good nick!

Cost wise yes, but halogen lamps with a HID kit are not anywhere near as good as factory xenons.

Factory is always best - no question... but not at that price

I’ll see how it goes, if not I’ll revert to the standard lights.

dont need levelling sensors ,just adjust as should be and no problem .didnt do anything with switch, xenons must have headlight washers , thats all what it needs to pass NCT
