I got a sample called cinnamon but it's really dark
So best option to be as close to the E46 version is to get a sample and match it from that
Cinnamon was used in a lot of variations so it's becoming a problem for me

Have you tried a dealer? They are notoriously slow in updating their paint and leather samples in their showrooms so there is every chance there will be one there. Murphy & Gunn for example had a huge collection of retired samples going back as far as 2004. I guess they will all be going in a skip when the showroom is sold for redevelopment......
