    N53 Fuel injectors

    Looks like we may have some issues with the injectors on the e60, one bank showing issues and a feeling that the other bank isn't far behind. Given their reputation this isn't entirely unexpected, or terribly premature at 118k miles. Anyone have any first hand experience of sourcing replacements? I believe I read somewhere that Bosch OEM injectors were better value but I'm finding it hard to get any useful information on part number equivalents, etc. Anyone have any info or links on that side of things?

    As always, all help, advice and comments appreciated

    Giving the amount of trouble they give id be sourcing genuine items. At least then you’d have some recourse if they ever went again.

    I’ve never fitted or sourced anything other than genuine items but I think they’ve gone up in price to around €340 each

    Thanks folks. I think Bosch manufactured the parts originally for BMW and have a non branded equivalent. I have found a site in the Uk that have BMW originals for stg£160. Best get the finger out and order before the end of March if going that route!

    Our E92 has an N53 engine also and BMW dealer (Maxwells at the time) replaced the 6 injectors and charged me €1100 at the time with some discount. I belive the injectors had also changed design or something from the originals so I done all together. It was not possible to just replace one in a bank.

    it was old - gold price , now they are more expensive ,as mentioned before . they are updated over 12 times afaik . can be replaced one or two , just dealer dont want to waste their time and says to replace all of them . have done lot cars, by one or two injectors and they going just fine ,of course its nice to replace all at once

    FYI revision 11 is the latest injection design - very simple to replace.
