BBS RS Split Rim 3 Piece Refurb

I have a set of BBS RS Split Rim 3 Piece that are in need of a refurb for my E28
RS022 and RS061

I know they are plenty of alloy wheel refurb companies in Ireland and 1 or 2 seem to always make the top of the list
But has anyone here actually had a set BBS RS 3 piece rims refurbed and who did you use or recommend?

I only want recommendations for companies that you know 100% have refurbed BBS RS split rims

I’ve had two piece wheels done, twice. Personally, I’d be sending any future ones to Lepsons.

While I've no experience of them, Rim Solutions certainly do split rims and have a number of BBS wheels showing as refurb'd on their site - http://www.rimsolutions.ie/split-rims.html

Search FB for a crowd called Rimscarnated, they are a 3 piece wheel specialist in the UK.


I’ll be sending my OZ futuras their way when the time comes later in the year. Big plus with them is they can refinish the original OZ stamped hardware rather than replace with lesser quality generic bolts which can often be an expensive waste of money added to the bill of a refurb.

Had a long chat with the rim solutions guys about split rims, they do them, but were certain that they are a hard job and they charge accordingly, the chap got quite animated about people having over tightened the bolts before and the problems it causes. The quality of their is very good in my experiance.

I have no personal experience with Rim Solutions or Wheel Wizards but I've known people who haven't been happy with both, that was quite some time ago so maybe things have changed.

I've used Lepsons three times now and they're excellent, the workmanship and quality of work are outstanding and I haven't come across anyone that hasn't been happy with their work.

For ordinary wheels, I would use rim solutions, but if I had anything out of the ordinary, I'd go back to Lepsons.

I’ve seen split rims on a jag which had been done by Rim Soultions and they looked very well.
