I think the soft top needs attention hence why he’s reluctant. I don’t understand why people selling their cars don’t maximise the profit and sell the hardtop separately. A lot of times people won’t have the room for a hardtop. They are bulky items that need a dedicated storage area. I’ll keep an eye out for you.

I went to the UK for mine as I kept missing them. Managed to get the right colour and with a factory headlining that isn’t sagging which seems to be pretty rare these days.
