Castrol Edge 5w30

Hi All,

Car service time - E46 320cd. I have always used Castrol Edge FST. Today I struggled to find the correct oil for the car. All the motor factors had LL which is not approved and looks to be for VW specifically.
I have seen online an LL04 5w-30 and a 5w-30m both which are BMW-LL04 compatible.

Anyone else have the same issue?

I use an LL04 from Motul , you can get it in most motorfactors

Ended up getting Mobil Super 3000 XE. On offer in Halfords.
Interestingly Mobil 1 EST 5W30 is no longer LL04 approved.
