    Diversity Antenna for the bin? (E61 LCI)

    Stopped for a bit yesterday morning and happened to have the tail-gate opened when the heavens opened so I jumped into the car to wait for the rain to subside. When the rain did stop I closed up the car and it was left there for about 6 hours after which the key fob wouldn't open the car. Thought it might have been the key but the spare doesn't open car either. Bit of googling came back with the diversity antenna...
    Anyone here come across this before, before I dive in and buy one, they aint cheep, even second hand!

    Check the wiring from the body of the car to the boot lid, more common for that issue that the module itself.

    Took off the boot spoiler and removed the cover off the diversity antenna and it was full of water! The dinner was ready so I left it open for an hour or so, sitting in the sun. Now it works again. Hmmm.
