    e90 330d or f10 530d?

Nosing about at the moment, thinking I should probably do something with the daily before Brexit throws a curveball and spoils things for a bit.

Two cars that have caught my eye:

    1. e90 330d M-Sport manual saloon - 2010 (LCI), modest miles, good spec (Nav, heated leather, BT, etc.), looks nice. Stand out feature is manual box, but obvious downside is the e90 is 2 generations old now.

    2. f10 530d SE Auto - 2010, modest miles, looks to have almost M-Sport spec - seats, roof lining, steering wheel, dechromed, etc, widescreen Nav, Flappy paddles, heated leather, switchable driving modes, etc.

With VRT paid, there's literally just a few euro between them on price. I'm interested in people's thoughts on their preference, just from these two.

F10 gets my vote. It’s much more modern than the e90.

You may have put him off the F10 now! Have you seen his signature!

The F10 would benefit from the 8 speed Auto? Bit more nippy as a result?

On balance I would go for the F10 Diarmuid.

It's a more modern and better looking car. Downside to the f10 is that they are everywhere.

Thanks for the feedback folks. I'm inclined to agree with the positive f10 vibes. The e90 looks like a very nice car but I can't help feeling that I'd be missing the refinement, etc. of a 5 before too long. I'm sure I could live with the ubiquity of the f10 if it had a decent 6 pot under the hood. I had one for a little while a few years ago and it was a fine drive, but it was a 4 pot and I soon wanted something creamier, hence the e60 that has been serving me well since then.

We'll see. If it wasn't for Brexit on the horizon I'd have no qualms about running the e60 for a while longer. I think that could upset the markets, both here and in the UK for a while, so if I do something now it will be a "just in case". The exchange rate is helping make things more attractive too, although that could improve further as Oct 31st approaches.

Would depend what you favour more. The E90 is smaller, narrower, lighter and would have sharper handling. The F10 is obviously bigger and heavier so would be a bit more of a barge compared to the E90. But the F10 would definitely be a more refined, luxurious and comfortable mile muncher.
