Replacing e46 seats

Hi,

I’ve found an M3 interior which I want to retrofit to my non-M e46. I believe it should be a straight fit, however the only issue is the new front seats are electric while my existing ones are manual.

If I’m happy for the seats to stay manual, is it just a case of swapping the existing seat rails onto the new seats? If so is this easy enough to do? I can find lots of stuff online about swapping the seats out by removing the seats+rails, but can’t find much about how to remove the actual rails from the seats.

Wiring up electric seats should be relatively straight forward. I have done exactly this for E46Man on here. Also ddI g the memory function is easy too, one wire to the GM5 module from the driver’s seat and a simple coding job with NCS Expert.

Cheers. When you say relatively straightforward - I am completely useless when it comes to anything electrical or wiring related (I don’t understand any of the acronyms in your post for example!). But I’m not really bothered about having electric seats so if it’s easier to just swap them onto the manual rails then I’d probably do that. Just not sure if it’s as simple as that or if I’m maybe missing something?
