    As long as you post it tomorrow then you're covered. Anything with a post mark dated on or before tomorrow will be treated as being received on time. I posted mine off about 4 weeks ago for the e36, I got a receipt by post a few days later.
    You should be able to do this online & also be able to renew online. Ridiculous carry on with the queues in the Motor Tax office!

    Send them an email at the tax office you sent it into Austin. To be fair they're fairly decent in there and should let you know if it's been processed, and at least you'll have confirmation then. I've still not got a phyisical piece of paper from them though
