Yes on top of the vrt
If you were interested in that car the safest thing to do is to get the seller to send you a pic of the v5 book and see what's officially printed in the nox section and put into the calculator and it will give you a good idea if the charge

Looks like you have the CO2 spot on. It would need to be confirmed, as Claude said, from the V5 document, but from what I can find elsewhere, it looks like this RS is EU5 compliant and the NOx figure should be 13mg/km - so the NOX levy should be €65.

Incidentally, it looks like the Cup, in the same year was still EU4 compliant (possibly because they were made as a batch before the changeover to EU5 spec engines), so the NOx figure is 47mg/km.

Lads, can anyone clarify if the following statement is true?
If you are a dealer in Ireland you only have to pay VRT on the purchase price of the car in question (VRT is calculated in the same way to determine the percentage of VRT owing but applied to the purchase price and not the OMSP).

Is this really the case? I'm not convinced this would be applicable.
If it is the case does anyone know any "friendly dealers"?

Someone is spinning you a yarn - OMSP is used as the basis for dealers as well. This is from the trader manual for VRT

    4.3 Used Vehicles
In the case of used vehicles, the OMSP is determined by the Revenue Commissioners at the time
of registration. In determining the OMSP, Revenue takes into account depreciation and other
market factors (i.e. age, mileage and general condition) influencing the OMSP of the used vehicle
    being valued.

I thought the same Ken but thought it prudent to check before we start the “bending over” process with the VRT office while they pick a number out of thin air depending on which way the wind is blowing and what stage the moon is at in its current cycle.
Then the task of appealing after paying the extortionate amount etc. It’s just a ball ache.
