    To be honest the M will be on the road for the summer months, the range rover while extremely comfortable is pretty mundane driving.

    Was thinking a hot hatch with reasonable performance will be fun to drive. The drive home from Dublin in the M3 was a hoot, and got me thinking of something fun and totally impractical for daily duties.

    Questionable if it's really a "hot hatch", but would you consider an R32?

    I would love an EP3 Type R, but decent ones seem to be very thin on the ground (the one posted above looks lovely though).

    I've never driven a Mk5 GTI - on paper the EP3 definitely looks to be better in terms of performance, but I wonder is it the case that in the real world the torque of the GTI provides more usable performance?
