It is. Had a rental there for a week or two many years ago. Some great roads, including some good corkscrew roads, and stunning scenery, but very busy in season. That could be an issue to affect fun.

Alps has a lot to offer the driver, but more challenging than fast driving.

Do I recall that you did a Scotland run a few years ago? North Coast 500, or whatever its called, looks stunning if you haven't.

I enjoy challenging twists and turns more than mega speed driving, so that’s perfect.

I did Wales and Scotland in 2019, NC500 has some nice parts but there was far too much single track which really pissed me off, road being only big enough for one car and driving through blind turns and over hill crests means you can only go probably 30 miles an hour in anticipation of slamming on the brakes. That’s not fun.

Wales is heaven on earth for driving, my favourite so far, I went 2018, 2019, and going again this year. It’s become a yearly pilgrimage

So yea, twisty well surfaced road and little traffic are the key things.
