Its a bit unfair on the '90's to blame them entirely for these things.......

Dont regret selling any car, my E39 will be for sale soon and that potentially will be a regret.

What car do you regret selling??

The car I most regret selling was my ‘98 318iS M-Tech. My dad bought it off Clonskeagh Motors in 2003 with about 40k miles on it - I was the one that actually found it on the forecourt that day and at the time, my dad was looking at E class Mercs In 2008 I eventually convinced him to sell it to me and then the modding started in earnest. It was great, looked fantastic, reliable and was a tight car. I think I sold it to Austin with 84k miles. I might have covered 5k miles in the 3 years that I owned it and it made way for my Imola Red 325Ci.

I also regret selling the M3. I had idolised DaveDs M3 for years and when I finally had the money to buy one, I couldn’t believe my luck when his one popped up for sale. I didn’t even test drive it, so the first time I drove it was when I handed over the cash and the car was in my name

I covered 19k miles in it and lots of great memories. It’s nice to know that Pippas first time in a car was the M3.

Interesting to see that the majority of car sale regrets were E36’s of all shapes and engine capacity. I too had that problem when I sold my E36 M3 in 2011 only to spend the best part of 6.5 years trying to find it again.

Never really regretted selling a car to be honest. The E30 335i might have been closest to a real regret - but I'd dealt with so many assholes, thieves and ripoff merchants on it that I couldn't face into the (second) full strip and respray it needed. It was cursed.

Did a deal to buy my old Civic back a few years ago - but a work trip to India and emigrating to Australia got in the way of that.

E39 530i big time. Such a complete car.

The only car I’ve ever sold that I regret selling / would buy back.

I loved my 335i but it was the right thing to do at the time to sell it.

    I'd regret selling that too....
At that pricepoint, I don't believe there's anything comparable out there.
