The 545i doesn't appear on the calculator, but a 550i SE of that year and mileage clocks up VRT and NOx levy of just over a grand.......

We've all worked out harder man maths than that and come up with a sensible/believable answer......

You've posted some cracking examples!

I've realised I want something stress-free she can curb and ding to her heart's content, and also something I can fiddle with without worrying about breaking clips or the like. I enjoyed the washing / detailing side of things and would love to start doing a few small mechanical or interior jobs here and there, I think I'll enjoy it even more than detailing.

SO:

Auto, M-sport, cheap tax (because I'm not bothered about the engine in a family taxi and one bill of 1,809 Euro is enough really), definitely not touring because she hates them (she won't listen to reason, not even the prospect of carrying large items from furniture stores convinced her ), just needs to be good mechanically and not rotting away or something.
