Wheel Doctor - still in the business?

Folks - does anyone know if Wheel Doctor (in Tipperary) is still in the game? The website looks like a dead end at the moment, so just wanted to check here first if anyone has been in touch with him recently before going further. He did some good work on wheels for me a couple of years ago and would be happy to go back to him for some more that need doing now if he's still going.

Like many here, I'm sure, I've been spending a bit more time than usual on gardening activity at the weekends recently. It put me in the right place to count the various alloy wheels that ar ein the sheds, etc. I stopped counting in the mid-20's .

I do remember him! Used him many a time myself. As far as I know, I think he packed it in a few years ago

I've used these guys a couple of years ago on the Lexus aloys (which were a mess from corrosion) and they did a decent job. He does work for the likes of Adrian Quinn in Ardrahan.

He had a mobile unit so was able to come to the house, remove the wheels and do his magic.

I see he can now also do diamond cutting too....

Radfix in Galway also do a top Powder Coating job if you want to go that route - http://www.radfix.ie/powder-coating

Now that I think about it, unfortunately, that's not including the 32 (plus a few with spare wheels - remember those ) that are actually on cars.

There’s a place in Kilmallock co Limerick. I think it’s the brother of the guy that owns wheel doctor. I use him anyway, a friend whom I went to college with works there so I always drop the wheels to his house, I have no idea the name or whereabouts of the premises.

He does diamond cutting and his work is fantastic. We call him Mr Excellent for obvious reasons. I’d highly recommend anyway. Pm me for a phone number.

That's John Collins, wheelfix.ie. He's based in Ballyneety, Co. Limerick and he is wheel doctors brother. To offer a counter opinion he did a diamond cut refurb for on my last car before I bought it and the finish didn't last 6 months.

My diamond cut and big bend repair is still perfect, so are all the other wheels I’ve sent up there. Maybe you were unlucky hooch?

Possibly, as far as I know he did a refurb on the Pretoria wheels on my R too and they have been perfect in fairness. I'm not a big fan of diamond cut wheels over all, don't know why so many manufacturers went for it.
