I run my for months without one, only with condenser fan, so you should be alright. But if you really stuck I can borrow you mine since my car is off the road for next while. I am based in south Dublin.Originally Posted by claude

He can hold it with his hand while reving engine
Told me to replace it ASAP as its only working 10%

Mine ran no problem with the viscous fan gone as well. I only noticed it when the bearings in the aux fan seized up. It then started getting dangerously hot when you'd drive through town. No idea how long the viscous fan was gone for but the car was maybe 17 years old at that stage with over 100,000 miles on it. I replaced the viscous coupling with a new one but many people just get rid of it. Robs too much hp

I got one from euro car parts recently
Mine was doing the same as your own, temp creeping up while in traffic
Did that solve the issues

Mine was gone when took it out of storage a few years ago too. Was fine most of the time but once in traffic, would get hot quite quickly. New unit and perfect since although probably put an electric fan on it soon when change to an alloy rad
