    Interior trim

My dash and door trims have faded very badly any recommendations to have them redone I’m not a fan of wrapping would rather have them professionally painted,
    All advice appreciated.

I had the same issue with mine. What colour are your trims? You have a couple of options, buy a good second hand set, get them aqua dipped or there's also a guy on M3 cutters called lovatt who sprays them, he's supposed to be very good. But it might be costly with the added vat due to brexit.

I originally changed mine for a second hand set, but they didn't match my smg and steering wheel surround and my ocd got the better of me. I came across another forum where someone used 3M wrap that matched titan shadow, so I said I'd check for myself and I was very happy with the results.

Thanks Alan It’s wood finish ,wouldn’t never think it could go so bad and it spoils the interior, I have a photo but I’m having a problem posting it.

Are they real wood or just veneer do you know ? Most good wood furniture restorers should be able to sand them down and relaquer, no ?

Laminate over aluminium we have them rubbed up with a scotch pad in prep for primer and the fading is deep ,

I had a problem with the plastic trims on my Boxster, which have a sort of rubberised finish. Parts of it were wearing away.

As Alan mentioned, I contacted Lovatt on m3cutters. The quality of the work was supposed to be really good. Unfortunately he was busy and we could not sort out a date / time.

At one stage I was contemplating Aqua printing but there were widely varied opinions on the quality. I also tried carbon wrap.

Through the contact with John in aquaprint.ie , we decided to go with a gloss black painted finish, almost like piano black. That was 2.5 years ago and must say I’ve been very happy with them !!

That looks really good not sure black would suit my kiwi interior but I think painted is the way to go , I’ll probably go for a dark grey .
