Thanks Alan It’s wood finish ,wouldn’t never think it could go so bad and it spoils the interior, I have a photo but I’m having a problem posting it.

Are they real wood or just veneer do you know ? Most good wood furniture restorers should be able to sand them down and relaquer, no ?

Laminate over aluminium we have them rubbed up with a scotch pad in prep for primer and the fading is deep ,
