I have heard that some "dpf cleaning services" are simply a hot power wash. I have heard of power washing as a means to clean them also.

I've cleaned them with a power washer before but only to get the soot down to an acceptable level to allow the car to do a regeneration. Your pissing into the wind getting them cleaned if the car won't regenerate after so look into glow plugs etc aswell because if these aren't working the car won't regenerate and will block up again. I recommend that if your only doing short journeys to get it removed and re mapped. Will only give you trouble in the future.
