How yee doing just wondering I have a2003 e46 my key fob has never

I heard it is very hard to change the battery on this key
Any ideas on how to do it??
Before you split up the key re set the key.
Sit in with doors closed, holding the key in your hand press and hold the lock button, with the lock button held press the unlock button 3 times. After this stick the key in the ignition and turn it to position 2.
What do I do after that ??
The locks should pop down if the reset is successful. If not, its a new battery, new key or else general module.Originally Posted by lynchie1991
Hi, I had same problem with my 2002 e46 320d, key just died without warning one day, here is how I got it working again.
1. Get in car, close doors.
2. Put key in ignition and switch it to position 2 two times
3. Take key out and keep holding "open button, arrow up" down and press lock button (middle one) three times
4. Doors should lock now and open again
I guess in my case battery was drained for some reason and it lost memory, after I took it for a longer spin to recharge battery and did the above key is working again.
