Very impressed with it, didn’t miss a beat. The combo of manual gearbox, torquey Diesel engine and good tyres that are not massive (I think 235) made it a perfect weapon for the current weather.

Passing fwd cars on hills whilst sipping a nice cup of coffee was my highlight

Haven't seen the traction light flicker on the dashboard of the e60 yet......

Slowing down, smooth action on the helm and the brakes and looking an extra 200m up the road seem to be working so far.

Definitely not looking to tempt fate with that statement

The X3 is a great bit of kit when coupled with the all season factory spec tyres. The mrs has been in and out a few times today and no issues. Btw thanks for the coffee review

As for the neighbour is his fancy new Xdrive 530d, it’s a fail.

Out my way its bad, my wife can't get out of the drive in her megane gt! Traction becomes an issue when starting from a stop on a steep incline, disabling the traction control comes into play here. Other than than DTC is great, little bit of slide without being too hampering, its all about maintaining momentum and making slow adjustments. Not a hope I would have gotten 200m in summer tyres!

Andy your Neighbors F30 is really nice looking. Love the wheels. I have seen a few around and been underwhelmed with the styling over the F10. But it seems that its very spec dependent....and a X-drive, and a 30d, obviously proximity to you has rubbed off on him....
All me beemers are gone.....for now.

Think they are G30’s now. Went through the F’s very quickly. There were lots of E’s and very few F’s. He has 20” wheels on it and not a stranger to BMWs luckily. He has a 70’s 2002 touring and unfortunately a mustang.
