BMW Recall.

BMW issue has been in the news in the UK for the past few days after it was raised at an inquest in to a poor unfortunates death. Its now been issued as a recall and it looks like Irish cars will be part of it. It seems to affect 2007-2011 1, 3, X1 and Z4's but not a great deal of information on what specifically is at fault or if its just subsets of these models.

I've done a few of these before. there's a repair section of loom you can buy. didn't know they were doing it under warranty

main power cable that runs from the boot to the fuse box behind the glove box. I've had to replace a fuse box on one aswell as the loom

failed on my 316d as well , one day came to start the car and all power was gone . with only one screw driver in front of the house ,was only one way to found the problem .
