    Outdoor Carcoon

Folks - does anyone have experience of using the outdoor version of the Carcoon - as per link below? I may have a need to move a couple of cars from my usual storage for a 12-18 month period and thought these might be a feasible option if I can't get alternative indoor storage sorted.

Hi Diarmuid, I would ask SchoonerM3 (Mark) as I think he uses one for his M3

Would you look at renting a storage container - I use Titan containers (non-vehicle storage) but regularly see that their 20 & 40 ft containers (mostly brand new & vented) have vehicles stored in them.

Security / 24 Hour access is second to none too.

I used one for an E21 and it worked well. Just a pain bringing the cars in and out of them.

Thanks folks. Containers could be a Plan B or C option but my neighbours might feel I'm brining down the tone of the neighbourhood if they appear in my back garden!

Thanks Andy, good to know. If I go this route the chances are that each will either be in for months, or out and taxed for months rather than frequent moves.

Sorry Big H, I misread your email first. I see you mean offsite storage location. Hadn't really thought about it that way. Could be an option, thanks.

Not a lot of storage options around Limerick, I've been looking for the past month with the M3 coming off the road in September. Carcoon may be the way to go!! An expensive option for multiple cars by the looks of it!!

I use one. It's the best thing I ever bought.

Hardy and robust, built in trickle charger. Double skinned and keeps the car dry and the carcoon never touches the paint.

Mine has done about 3.5 or more years of work if I tot it all up. Still perfect
