2007 BMW 318i SE Touring manual.

Titanium silver with Black Dakota Leather. Two owners from new and has covered 122k miles (196k KM’s), full service history and NCT to May 2019.

This was the company car of a colleague from new and has belonged to Mrs D since May 2011, so I’ve known the car from new in 2007. It has been serviced from new by Keogh’s/Conlon’s and by Roches Garage, Gort.

The condition is consistent with an 11 year-old car that has been the family hold-all. Its tidy and scrubs up well, but has a few battle scars, scuffs, etc. It has a full service history including extra mid-interval oil services, but it does have an N46 engine, so its had its fair share of oil leaks and some signs of valve stem seal wear and tear.

Having said that, Mrs D has loved it for a long time and it has been a faithful and reliable companion. Its taken the keys of the e60 530i (on the days, of late, when she doesn’t win the daily arm wrestle for the keys of the Z) to persuade her to give this up. Lots of life left for someone else in this car.

Great family wagon for someone. Out of interest is that engine prone to timing chain issues as well or is that the Diesel only?

No, this has the N46 engine, so the timing chain is where it ought to be and wasn’t a problem. These were more prone to oil leaks from just about most gaskets (all done over time on this one), CCV (done), etc. I think they also encountered a few valvetronic problems, although none with this car.
