I put a lot of time into this recently as I’m current insuring 3 cars and have a mix of NCB across them all. I couldn’t find any solution short of having a trade policy, which has its pros and cons, the main con being if you insure your cars through it for more than 2 years you loose you NCB.

Call a broker like Archas, Chris knows his stuff. 051 877 700. You could probably get a classic policy on your e36 attached to the e46 M3.

Chris has left but Aoife or Eimear seem on the ball. I spoke to Chris about a multi car policy last year for a family member but opted not to go ahead with it.

I've mine insured with autoline. E46 M3 is insured as classic and E30s added on them too.

Going to look into adding the X5 to it soon too while might pick up a Golf GTi or something for my fiancée and insure that as my main car if the commercial insurance on my Defender doesn't work as the main policy for classic insurance.

Only limitation is the mileage limit obviously which could be an issue.

Looked into trade policies but with a farm and stuff, it gets very awkward for me with dual usage and stuff like that and you can have issues if anything ever happens outside of business hours or on a trip away etc
