Brake pipe query help

Rigid Brake pipe opinions .
Whats peoples opinions and what have people done .
Question is reguarding replacing the long rigid steel brake pipes from front to back .what did you use .
Firstly i know the original bmw pipes are steel coated in black plastic and steel rusts .
Copper /kunifer is what most replace with .
My problem is i dont like the way copper goes agreen colour after awhile and also its so soft it kinks or cant be got to look factory looking .
Main reason im leaning towards original steel replacement from bmw is
1 they look original
2 they come already flared and coated
3 the original pipes on the car only corroded and are original to the car and its 15 year old so my thinking is if i grease them up and look after them il easily get 10years from them .
4 they dint kink that easy
Only negative for me is they come as straight lines not preformed but should easily bend with proper bending tool

I used to think I was picky until I came on here. Noticing, never mind being put off by copper pipes turning green is a whole new level! ��

Other than that, I’d concur with your assessment and conclusion, re. Steel pipes.

you've explained it there pretty much. I've changed loads of pipes to copper and its function over fashion. but in an ideal world or if it was my own pride n joy I would splash out on steel pipes. fyi you can flare the steel lines if you heat them a tiny bit.

if its ok to get to replace them ,without mad work , only original bmw lines .if something very difficult and lot bents ,go for copper . now available zinc coated copper lines .

Cheers lads .yeah i should have said car is fully stripped underneath so fitting isnt a drawback and i think ive actually answered my own question steel it is .im very fussy to be honest and prefer original parts etc 20191207_142530.jpg
