Pretty annoying one.
In the process of changing a bulb one of the rings in the headlight assembly came loose and slipped out of place - image below:
Any thoughts of how I might go about trying to fix this?

I've no experience with a facelift coupe but if it's like other e46s then you should be able to unclip the headlight plastic if you remove the strip of trim below it first. This trim is held in place on both ends. Not sure about the ring but I guess just stick it on with something if it won't hold itself anymore.

Pretty sure E46 facelift coupe headlights are sealed
I think I remember reading about people baking them in order to fit angel eyes etc
They're sealed alright - baking them to soften the glue is an option. Or just buy another one. €60 on eBay - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-3-SER...cAAOSwovFdkRYq
Baking them is probably worth a try so and just buy one then if it doesn't work

I have a heat gun so no problem giving it a go, but I suspect the more difficult bit will be closing them again after?
Ended up buying a replacement unit (the part linked above in fact). It would’ve cost me at least €20 just to buy some sealant to close it up again, so €60 for a unit and far less hassle seems a no brainer!
