Paying by draft won't save you, it will just make a paper trail so better chance of finding the seller.

What would have saved me is verifying the seller was the owner, either by proper id or looking the listed owner up in the phone book. Both of which are strange enough things and I've never been asked by buyers myself.

im sorry to hear this. this is sicening to hear that, never mind expierencing.
this is actually big enough problem in other country's. hope its not on raise here.
