    E92 M3 or E63 M6

    Hi folks,

Should have put one of these up ages ago, just copped the value of ads like these after missing out on Tony's E92

I'm searching for a decent condition and cared for DCT E92 but will consider a manual, I'd like something pre July 08 but not majorly pushed as it wont be taxed year round.

Will also consider a well looked after E63 m6, ideally with a build date of post Jan '06 and later but as long as it has been minded and relatively low mileage I don't mind too much.

If you know someone that is selling or if you're thinking about selling let me know.

    Thanks all.

Sorry Ketron, I kind of feel obliged to help you find one now.

On the M6 front lovely low mileage one up north with full bmw extended warranty and an eisenmann exhaust.

Not at all Alan, delighted for you! Wear well Thanks for that!

Whats the story with buying privately from the north? Just curious with how the VRT jazz would work (Proof of sale, import date etc.).

Also as the e63 cab is still listed (but not the coupe) would I be in for VRT surprises or do you reckon they would just list it the same if Co2/NoX etc is the same as the V5?

Cheers. Fortunately there will be no vat or duty, Unfortunately the vrt will be a lottery so I'd say anywhere between 7-10k. but you might be able to use the fact the cab is still on the calculator towards an appeal.

I've never vrtd a car from the North but from what I heard a hand written receipt with the date I sufficient.

2nd one is October 2008 but even after VRT is paid it will still have cheaper tax rate, doesn’t matter what month a car is manufactured in in 2008 once its VRT’d it automatically falls under cheaper rate. Whether that be emissions based or old system

Thanks, I'm not even sure its an NI registered car. I've give them a bell and see what comes of it

So many questions that somebody on here my have the answer to

I wonder how proof of entry to Ireland works? I've only every imported from the UK, so the ferry tickets were enough along with invoices etc.

On newer cars the V5 has the Nox is on the V5, how does it work with older cars (2006) in this case?

Once you have some sort of paperwork or proof that the car was registered in the north pre January of this year you’ve no extra tariffs to pay. The V5 should be enough in itself but I’ve heard revenue can be awkward about this.

is that definite though? If that was the case how come there are post July 2008 cars knocking about on Co2 tax rates?

The lack of details on the vrt calculator (and what I've been told) would lead me to believe that VRT on an M3 would be well saucy. I really don't like the idea of me rocking up and getting hit with a totally unknown tax bill, I'd like to at least have a ball park figure. I haven't heard of anyone importing one this year.

    Thanks
