ABS Pump swapped

Hi All,

Just a quick question for anyone that has swapped the abs pump. I got a complete secondhand pump for my 08 320d and swapped the control unit from my pump to the replacement and fitted it back and all the warning lights went out so all good. The only thing i noticed was my control unit didnt appear to fit completely flush to the replacement hydraulic unit, there is very slight gap at the corners between the controller and the hydraulic unit. Does the controller need to fit absolutely flush? I didnt see a gasket or anything so wondering does it need to be water tight or sealed to keep out dust etc?

Was a pain to replace so dont want to have to do it again but will do if needed.

Here's a pic of the pump and i've circled where the controller joins the hydraulic unit. Probably over thinking it but it's first time I've worked on an abs pump so just hope it's OK.

Nct passed yesterday, cheapest fix so far.
