Mondello's BMW Track Experience

I was looking into this as a present for my son, but I see now that it has been pared back quite a bit compared to their previous offerings.

Certainly up to last summer, you had the option of experiencing an M8, M4 and finally an M2 Comp around the track (their extended package), but now the only option is 5 laps in an M240i (preceeded by 3 laps in a regular 1 series - or more laps for a few more €). I know it's only from €199 and the M240i is more than capable, but it now seems a very watered down experience compared to what was on offer previously ie. the chance to drive some cars in anger that you'd never normally have the opportunity to do.

I could just ask my neighbour Jeff for a spin in his M240i for the price of a full tank of fuel on return now sure......

Thats mad, last year I did the mini cooper, M2 Comp, M4 and the M8. I wonder were they having difficulty offloading the ex track cars or something? When I went it was actually difficult to even get a booking they were so busy.

Well it seems that they had no problem getting dealers to either sell them on a commission basis or bought straight off them who then went on to advertise without a single mention of their previous life......
