M50 lamda sensor

Iv the m50 in and running in my E21 and was just wondering would the lamda sensor do in one exhaust pie or do i need to join the two and put it in there. And if i ran it without a lamda would it make much diff performance wise

if u want to run engine perfect and full power ,u must get X pipe and fit lambda in it ,it must read mixet gasses from all 6 cylinders .and yes she must be working
